Maintains all records and reports to ensure compliance, with all local, state and federal regulations and codes.* Performs various cleaning activities to maintain department sanitation standards. These may include:* Scraping, washing, rinsing, sanitizing, and storing all pots, pans, sheet pans, utensils and small equipment,* Sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing department floors,* Cleaning Ice machines* Sets up and maintains assigned work area in a neat, clean, and orderly manner to facilitate efficiency and ensure food safety.* Provides additional services to enhance customer service.* Recognizes and adopts activities appropriate to the specific needs of patient/resident population and demonstrates knowledge of specific issues directly related to age of patient/resident population.* Delivers food carts to certain patient units which require nursing staff to deliver trays.* Gathers trash for the entire department and removing it to the trash compactor.* Removing and setting up cafeteria, and Doctor’s Dining Room tables and chairs for carpet cleaning and for special catered events.
