Social Worker – per diem

The Social Worker is responsible for providing clinical intervention, supportive counseling, resource referrals, and psycho-education to the general hospital population as needed.This position reports to the Director, Case Management, Social Work and Pastoral Care and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.* Associated Masters Degree with independent license or equivalent required; Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited school of social work preferred* Licensure as a certified Social Worker (LICSW, LCSW, LMHC) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required* Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years experience in medical social work in an acute care hospital setting required* Experience in behavioral health and substance abuse required* Strong demonstrated knowledge of health care services across the continuum required* Demonstrated proficiency with personal computers and ability to learn departmental software required* Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, together with cultural awareness required
