Location: Bluff City, TN Description: Our food manufacturing client is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Technician This job will have the following responsibilities: Assists, Supports, and Participates in Continuous Improvement activations, as assigned or as self-initiated.
Ensure that all Quality Systems Requirements are maintained up to date and are followed daily.
Coordinates the disposition or rework of defective material through established Quality Systems.
Participate in Annual Quality Planning with recommendations and establishment of standards Responsible to follow all QA instructions & procedures and complete accurate/timely QA documents.
Report any visual defects and significant deviations to Productions and Operations Manager, immediately Calibrate, maintain, and track all QA/QC test equipment to ensure precision and accuracy.
Establish new start up procedure and approval for new processes and or new equipment Coordinate annual OSHA training Catalogue and implement policies and procedures for state and federal agencies (inclusive of OSHA, USDA, FDA, Health Agencies, etc.) Qualifications & Requirements: A good fit would be a candidate with experience in a computerized environment with a small/medium size food manufacturing business.
Good working understanding of QA/QC, compliance with Government Agencies Examples of managing and meeting stress/ even unrealistic deadlines.
