Job Description

Amcor (Formerly Bemis Company) is currently seeking enthusiastic, accountable employees for entry-level NIGHT SHIFT manufacturing positions! At Amcor, Safety is our number one priority. ROLE OVERVIEW

While working in the Clean Room department you will be given an opportunity to develop your skills through our training programs. You start at an entry-level position to learn the basics, and have the chance to progress and become a machine operator. You will have various opportunities to cross-train and develop new skill sets for a successful career at Amcor.

This position is straight nights from 6:00pm – 6:00am on a 2-2-3 schedule. Enjoy a 3 day weekend every other weekend.

Start at $16.37+ night shift premium $1.20 = 18+/hr with OT and premiums, etc.

Will need to be able to train on days for up to 9 months!

WHAT PRODUCTION ASSISTANTS GET TO DO:

• Follows job procedures to ensure quality standards are met or exceeded, Follows all GMP, ISO, PPE, and Gowning procedures
• Perform roll changes, return to stock, prep job jackets, print labels, and assist operators with setups
• Wrap, band, label and pack bags/pouches/lids within Inner Pack bundles according to customer specification
• Pack bags/pouches/lids neatly, accurately and according to customer specification
• Immediately notifies Co-workers, Operator, Leads, and Supervisors /Management of Quality concerns/issues
• Perform testing to include burst, tensile, creep, dimensional and all tests listed on the Finishing Specification.
• Inspect product for defects identified on a customer return or QA hold, document defects, replace with good products, band, repack, and label good reworked products per customer specification
• All other duties as assigned by management and supervisors

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU:

• Previous manufacturing experience a plus, not required
• Knowledgeable and able to understand a computer and programs
• Possess adequate math, measurement, and reading skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills
• Required to have visual acuity to perform visual inspection including the use of measurement devices and ability to identify and distinguish colors
• Ability to interact effectively and professionally with others in a team environment
