Production Worker

What are we looking for?

We are currently looking for a1st Shift Production Production Worker to join our team. This position will work closely with the production department to ensure every step of the processing is done safely, accurately, and in a timely manner. This is an active position which requires you to work in a cold environment and stand for long periods of time. Please see below for a list of duties required of a Production Worker. This is meant to be a general list and will be at the managers’ discretion to change at any time.

JOB DUTIES:

• Repeatedly lift and stack boxes on pallets. ·
• Sort and package food products into boxes or bags. ·
• Fold, tape and label boxes. ·
• Operate vacuum packaging machines. ·
• Box and weigh product. ·
• Assist with setting up or tearing down production lines. ·
• Maintain required production paperwork. · Work designated hours (7:00 AM to 3:30 PM – 1st Shift or 3:30 PM – 12AM – 2nd Shift).
• Shifts may be and have been longer when needed and may involve overtime including mandatory Saturday hours.
• Produce product in an efficient and economical manner.
• Maintain a safe and sanitary work area.
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety rules and regulations.
• Gain knowledge of production equipment and processes. · Assist in training new employees.
• Establish a good working relationship with co-workers and supervisors.
• Will involve overtime or occasional Saturdays.
• Produce product in an efficient and economical manner.
• Assist in training new employees.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Responsible, dependable, reliable, good dexterity, quality and safety conscious, and cooperative.
