Role:
Operators in this classification perform labor on necessary machinery and equipment to complete work orders in an efficient, timely manner to meet due dates.
Employees are assigned to various work stations as required and perform all job requirements efficiently by following prescribed practices and procedures.
They move, store, pack, place, ship and receive material as directed.
They deliver materials to various departments within the facility using material handling equipment.
Track and monitor inventory striving for 100% inventory accuracy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned):
Operate basic machinery and equipment including both powered and non-powered tools to manufacture products (e.g.
drill presses, frame drilling machines, brake, pneumatic & hydraulic presses, pneumatic, grinders, benders, etc.)
Communicate/plan with coworkers to ensure quality product is completed and shipped on time
Input data for Statistical Process Control studies when applicable
Ability to become forklift certified and operate pallet lifting equipment
Able to safely operate overhead crane/hoist and possess ability to become licensed in compliance with OSHA standards
Maintain count of all income material on a daily basis
Maintain inventory accuracy by completing all necessary paperwork to track all parts
Conduct accurate cycle counts and notify Supervisor of any shortages
Assemble and pack customer orders
Package parts, record shipping costs and insure all orders are shipped on a timely basis
Prepare accurate parcel shipping (UPS, DHL, FedEx, etc), weigh products, etc.
Record shipping costs on each sales order; load product onto freight carrier
Unload freight carrier of incoming material
Competencies/Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Competent in general Math, testing provided.
Strong communication and follow through to perform detailed work using written and verbal skills.

Able to move material weighting up to and exceeding 1000 pounds frequently using material handling equipment (hand trucks, platform trucks, pallet dollies, pallet jacks, overhead crane, etc.).
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
Work is performed in a shop environment on concrete floors.
There are areas in the work environment where dust, noise, fumes and smoke may be present.
The employee may work at different workstations as production needs require, or shift from one station to another during welding and production process.
