PC Technician (Help Desk Specialist -Entry/Journeyman)

Is looking for a Candidate that can support our client located in the Fort Hood TX.This candidate must be a PC Technician with hands onexperience.

Responsibilities: Job Duties:Applies technical knowledge and training to solve routine and complex problems in the maintenance of digital computers, configuration and peripheral components.Performs Tier I and Tier 2 deskside incident resolution of workstations, printers and peripheral devices.Monitors and responds to hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of hardware including printers and software testing tools and techniques.Ensure proper computer system setup/operation so that end users can accomplish business tasks.Receive, prioritize, document, and actively resolve end user help requestsKnowledge of diagnostic and help desk request tracking tools, as well as remote and in-person, hands-on help at the desktop levelUnder direct supervision, assists with network hardware, servers and software installation, troubleshooting and support.Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.Participates in special projects as required.

Assists with Asset management and Inventory of IT assets.Assists with security vulnerability remediationTypical actions are:Isolating equipment/system/software malfunctionsReturning failed equipment to good working order and demonstrating the equipment to the userWorks as a team member in the installation, configuration, repair, and maintenance of computer equipment, peripherals, and applications Performs repairs and conducts operational checks, and preventive maintenance service on computer systems, related systems, and office equipment.

Replaces defective parts and assemblies.

Qualifications: Must be able to travel and must have own reliable transportationAssociates Degree and 1 year experience; or combination of 3 years which may include education/specialized training/certifications and/or experience.

Two-three years of experience in the operation and maintenance of digital computer equipment/systems.

Extensive knowledge of Windows 10 configuration requiredMust be able to work under the supervision of senior technicians.

Must have full body mobility, be able to lift at least 50 pounds and must have own transportation.

Networking experience desired but not required.

Application support experience with Microsoft office, Outlook, Web browsers, Anti-virus and software configuration.

DOD Computing Environment, Security (or equivalent DOD Directive 8570.1 IAT II), A/Network (or equivalent DOD Directive 8570.1 IAT I).MUST HOLD MINIMUM SECRET CLEARANCE
