This position will be located in Clearfield, UT.The selected candidate will provide critical support to the production environment. Our goal is to minimize downtime on the production line by troubleshooting, problem solving and proactively identifying areas of concern. Our engineers work to continuously improve their processes, eliminating process variation while building in quality. Join us and help us meet our production goals!Responsibilities:Support manufacturing of large composite structures for aircraftWork closely with manufacturing personnel to tackle production issues in hand layup, automated fiber placement, secondary bonding, autoclave cure, NDI, machining, and assembly processesAuthor, modify, and audit proceduresWork in a multi-functional team to develop and implement process improvementsThe ideal candidate enjoys working with individuals across teams, collaborating with Maintenance, Facilities, and Manufacturing team to solve time-sensitive problems. Oftentimes we need to collaborate with other team members, so phenomenal communication skills are appreciated! We are a tight-knit team, and we enjoy working together to reach our mutual goals.This position is first shift on a 9/80 schedule. The hours are Monday – Thursday on day shift and every other FridayThis role can be filled at an Engineer or Principal Engineer level depending on the qualifications below.Basic Qualifications:EngineerBachelors Degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) and 2+ years of engineering work experience, or Masters Degree in a STEM fieldExperience with process engineering or manufacturing engineeringMicrosoft Office experience, specifically with Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookAbility to read engineering drawingsSolid understanding of root cause / corrective action processes and techniquesPrincipal EngineerBachelors Degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) and 5+ years of engineering work experience, or Masters Degree in a STEM field and 3+ years of engineering work experienceExperience with process engineering or manufacturing engineeringMicrosoft Office experience, specifically with Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookAbility to read engineering drawingsSolid understanding of root cause / corrective action processes and techniquesPreferred Qualifications:Functional knowledge of Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA)Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD& T)Composites hand layup, fiber placement, bonding, and cure experienceEducation in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Chemical EngineeringUnderstanding of Catia V5 and/or NXExperience using SPC to monitor and improve processesSalary Range: 64200 96200Salary Range 2: 79400 119200Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
