Marathon Staffing: Manufacturing Associate

Job Description Marathon Staffing is now hiring, hard-working, reliable candidates for temp-to-hire, Manufacturing Associate positions available in Phoenix, AZ Manufacturing Associates are responsible for measuring, threading, adjusting flange fit, and facing the flange on a piece of pipe.

Work also includes operation of the machine and moving in and out pipes of machine.

Working the manufacturing floor in the assisting making adjustments to pipes and getting pipes ready for shipping.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Measures pipe to fabricate pipe proper length Places pipe in machine, center the pipe and tighten for work.

Operator will taper into the pipe, and then machine the threads into the pipe.

Verifying measurements, and thread depth using a micrometer.

Tests the flange to make sure it screws onto the pipe properly.

Applying glue on pipe and flange and use the machine to tighten the flange onto the pipe.

Runs the cutting tool across the surface of the face of the flange to flush fit the flange onto the pipe.

Perform other duties as assigned CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS: MUST have at least one year of Machine Operation, metal work or fabrication experience.

Experience with CNC / Machining a plus Good with math, able to read a tape measure and micrometer.

Ability to understand machinery processes Consistent attendance, ability to get to work on time, every day Must be able to pass a Drug Test and full Background Check to be considered Shifts hours are normally Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM; Saturday’s may be requested.
