Acara is looking for a Manufacturing Test Tech with our client in Tualatin, OR. Pay Rate: $24.00 and up Shifts: Front end day – Sunday to Tuesday and alternating Wednesday 5a-5:30p Back end day – Thursday to Saturday and alternating Wednesday 5a-5:30p Front end night – Sunday to Tuesday and alternating Saturday 5p to 5:30a 15% shift differential Back end night – Wednesday to Friday and alternating Saturday 5p-5:30a 15% shift differential Based on experience and education working 12 hour night shift on compressed week. Long term with possible temp to hire opportunity. All 4 shits open. General Position Summary: Production Test Tech IIIs perform setup and testing/calibration of semiconductor Wafer Fabrication Equipment (WFE). They utilize a variety of tools, diagnostic equipment and computer-based testing instructions to ensure that equipment meets design specifications and customer requirements. Test Tech IIIs prepare technical reports and summarize findings related to technical problems experienced while testing and troubleshooting circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies. Test Tech IIIs may assist in identifying deficiencies in processes/procedures. They escalate production issues to lead technicians, supervisors and engineering, ensuring productivity goals are met. Responsibilities: Works on multiple product types Participates in basic to semi-complex projects which require judgment and initiative and completes tasks in creative and effective ways, understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions Access and update Configuration Editor settings by utilizing sales order/BOM (SAP); identifying components on tool by visually inspecting the tool and reviewing the pass down; cross-reference with sister tools; and utilizing all resources available Measure resistance/continuity/voltage by using digital multi-meters. Create detailed MFG tasks covering skipped steps, document abnormal conditions and tool reminder Set up specialized equipment (leak checker/dummy load/bird watt meter/VI Probe) by gathering required fixtures from on the floor shelves/storage bins Provide feedback on work instructions utilizing the redline process Provide suggestions/improvements for testing by communicating verbally and in writing with Manufacturing Engineers Write tasks on non-conformance issues internal (NCi’s) by creating NCi’s and coordinating with PSS as required Identify issue/access traceability to determine how it should have been done; decide if rework is doable by Test Technician or if an Assembly Tech or other department is required; escalate as needed. Perform leak checks (vacuum, water, pressure decay) by utilizing appropriate equipment (i.e. fixtures) and procedures (Cell Fusion and KM Matrix); verify check completed by utilizing the proper indicator (I-mark, gauge, etc.). Indicate tasks are complete by utilizing I-marking, SQIP marks, and use of Swagelok go/no go gauges. Understand tool status and find tool information by utilizing various SAP commands and set up specialized equipment by gathering required fixtures from on the floor shelves/storage bins. Report/Document/Review Tool status and use the proper escalation path May be a Lead Technician with assistance Education/Experience: Associates degree in electronics or related field required and/or equivalent military experience that includes electronics, such as avionics technician Typically requires 2-4 years of semiconductor capital equipment industry Job Conditions: Must be able to perform the following: Squat, kneel, walk, climb, stand and operate in ergonomically- challenging positions for over 50% of the time as well as have the ability to lift 35 pounds.
