Our Pet (Aquatics) Segment is searching for a Manufacturing Level 2 Team Lead in our Franklin, WI location.

The Level 2 Team Lead will assist the department Supervisor/Manager with a variety of administrative responsibilities, and front-line production matters relating to quality, work in progress, safety, and shift start/mid/end.
Schedule: 4:00am – 4:00pm, Mon-Wed or Thur-Sat (monthly rotation)
MEASURES OF SUCCESS
- Work in close partnership with other leads and supervisors to ensure safe, efficient, positive, work environment that produces high quality products for the consumer
- Assist other leads and supervisors in working with production scheduler, scheduling teams (varies by department), and aligning teams based on capacity needs after a scheduling change
- Ensure employees adhere to the new hire training plans and onboarding.
- Conduct 30, 60, 90 day progress reviews with new hires
- Participate in weekly production meetings and execute orders to plan
- Understand departmental metric and present at the weekly operations meeting
- Participate and drive behavioral based safety and near miss performance
- Lead shift huddles
- Perform disciplinary actions for performance/attendance issues
- Print and/or distribute daily work orders to department teams (varies by department)
- Identify business needs and adjust labor and materials accordingly
- Complete payroll and time off requests on a weekly basis
- Realign employee resources to fills gaps due to absence(s)
- Complete and distribute End of Shift Reports
- Work to resolve inventory discrepancies and order material as needed
- Identify quality concerns and escalate to the appropriate team members
- Due to variation in departments, other duties may be assigned based on department and/or business needs
- In absence of Level 1 Team Lead, the Level 2 Team Lead will cover departmental gaps.
IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Proficient in computer use – Microsoft Office, familiarity with SAP a plus
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- 2+ years of working as a team lead, shift lead, senior operator lead
- Lead/Supervised and/or Managed employee performance
- Drove Operational KPI’s, operational excellence, CI, RCA, Safety, Quality programs and expectations
- Continuous improvement mindset, safety focused
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a faced paced environment
- Demonstrated attention to detail, organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to build strong relationships across teams and departments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn and invest in their professional development
- Ability to handle a variety of tasks, as well as, problem solve with the ability to work independently and part of a team
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Must be able to stand/walk for an entire shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
- Plant environment with periodic visits to the office area of the plant.
- Exposed to any number of elements, but none present to the extent of being disagreeable.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
