If so, this role could be an ideal opportunity to explore.As a Manufacturing Specialist, will support day to day manufacturing of AS03 bulk product by investigating equipment and process problems and identify and implement improvements that make operations safer and decrease defects to increase supply reliability. The Manufacturing Specialist will work closely with the Value Stream Operators, Supervisors, Engineers, Electro-Mechanical Technicians, and Quality Assurance Operations.This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career.These responsibilities include some of the following:* Participate in daily tiered accountability meetings to manage safety, quality, supply, cost, and people aspects of day to day operations* Participate on cross functional team to investigate deviations. Initiate deviations using a qualified system such as SAP and prepare clear, concise reports from outcome of investigations* Perform root cause analysis, using RCA tools (ie DMAIC, Fishbone Diagram, 5 Whys)* Determine robust corrective actions and / or commitments* Interact and coordinate with appropriate personnel including manufacturing, QA/QC, regulatory, technical services, etc.* For RCA or per business needs, review of records to include batch documentation, training records, calibration records, standard operating procedures, regulatory policies, testing and manufacturing specifications, validation documents, and other technical documents* Communicate immediately with QA and Operations management for all manufacturing discrepancies that impact product quality or safety* Adhere to all GSK safety guidelines and procedures and ensure effective troubleshooting and reoccurrence elimination of breakdowns* Recommend improvements and desirable modifications in methods, procedures, processes, equipment and layout, participating in Kaizen events and projects as required* Work with managers effectively to execute the policies and goals of the organization and manage vendors and consultants to ensure that contracts contain appropriate technical specifications are delivered as required* Interface with users, peers, and management to ensure appropriate input and integration of local and corporate standards.* Author, review, revise, or approve Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) as required and assign on time Compliance records of Maintenance Department* Provide shift coverage when Manufacturing Supervisors are absent* Perform all job responsibilities in compliance with applicable EHS and GMP regulations, guidelines, policies, GSK standard operating & safety procedures, and industry practice and Industrial Excellence initiativesWhy you?Basic Qualifications:We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:* Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related fieldOR* High School Diploma or equivalent* 2+ years experience working in a regulated manufacturing environmentPreferred Qualifications:If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:* Understanding of cGMPs, and the ability to quickly grasp and apply site policies and procedures and relate them to project scope* Strong interpersonal and skills and ability to work on a team. The ability to effectively implement decisions* The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization, as well as, the skills to communicate site operations to outside agencies.
