Together, we can help people build stronger communities – we’re just getting started.**Summary:** Meta is seeking an experienced construction and/or manufacturing manager to join our Innovator Team. The Innovator organization is a new team that seeks to bring builder and manufacturing knowledge to the early phases of our Data Center designs while seeking to embed the strategies from our R&D teams. The Innovator Team leverages Lean, Agile, and Scrum methodologies to execute strategy quickly and effectively with genuine consideration for Constructability, Accessibility, Operability, Maintainability, Removability, Sustainability, and Circularity of our building elements. The Innovator Team is comprised of four cross-functional teams: Leadership, Product Development, Fabrication & Integration, and Realization. Each team leads their aspect of the innovation flow-through, yet they are deeply interrelated and comprised of cross-functional partners across the broader organization. These teams operate as partners, driving timely and effective change. The Fabrication & Integration Team’s primary focus is with supply chain engagement and evolution of our offsite fabricated components. The team’s charter is to develop offsite manufacturing (industrialized component “construction”) to support and improve our datacenter build program’s safety, quality, sustainability, and timeliness; all while reducing reliance on specialized trade labor.**Required Skills:** 1. Research and develop manufacturing drawings of designated components in support of increased construction efficiency.2. Manage the prototyping and mockup efforts with in-flight project sites including the communications with site teams, vendors, partners, and other stakeholder groups. This includes reporting on status, lessons learned, and adjustments needed to refine the designs of the components.3. Identify and support assessment of new vendors to qualify, grow, evolve, and measure, for potential use in the program.4. Research, assess, and report on vendor availability and potential throughput, project demand curves, and sourcing projections for components targeted for manufacturing.5. Manage status updates on component development.6. Research and report on industry trends as needed to support the team efforts.7. Partner with cross functional teams on related efforts to ensure alignment and transparency across Design, Engineering, & Construction (DEC).8. Partner with cross functional teams to assess cost and schedule impacts related to components and keep the team updated as to trends, risks, and other issues identified by this data.9. Partner with vendors and cross functional partners to identify, track, and mitigate risks related to safety, quality, logistics, trucking/transportation, storage, etc. for components.10. Partner closely with Sourcing Team for strategy and deployment of owner furnished equipment.11. Partner with Global QA/QC Team to identify and strategically shift to the vendors and manufacturers, appropriate elements of the multi-trade integration and commissioning efforts to reduce onsite efforts. Your objective is to embed as much trade work and commissioning as is appropriate at the optimum points of fabrication from start through to the final point of integration.12. Support team learning by bring lessons learned, vendors, new technology, and other topics to the group for exploration.13. Support the use of LEAN, AGILE, SCRUM, etc. to continuously improve and evolve the efficiency of the team, partner groups, and vendors.14. Travel approximately 40% Domestic Travel to construction and fabrication sites required (including minimal international travel as required).**Minimum Qualifications:** 15. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or equivalent16. 5+ years’ experience in construction, manufacturing, and/or project planning17. Either or both experience in large scale construction management and/or scalable manufacturing18. Manufacturing background with understanding of lean manufacturing and supply-chain management plus knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards in the field or industry experience with developing workflows and their associated flowcharts, schedules, and action plans19. Proficient working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint20. Proficient working knowledge of Google Docs21. Proficient working knowledge of Bluebeam**Preferred Qualifications:** 22. Mission Critical, infrastructure, and/or data center construction experience23. Experience working with blended architecture, engineering, and construction teams24. Experience with lean manufacturing and supply-chain management25. Software experience with eBuilder, Procore, Primavera P6, and/or BIM 36026. Basic knowledge of MS Visio and MS SharePoint27. Experience with LEAN tools (such as Choosing by Advantage, Last Planner/Pull Planning, Gemba, Kanban)28. Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC), Just In Time (JIT) strategizing, and manufacturing data analytics29. Experience with IPD projects30. PMP Certification31.
