– $20.00 hourly – DOE Precision Turbo and Engine is one of the world’s foremost manufacturers of high performance, aftermarket turbochargers.
In addition to a line of high-performance turbochargers, wastegates, heat exchangers, and fuel injectors, we are also a top distributor for many other performance products such as fuel system components, stand-alone engine management systems, and data acquisition systems.
BENEFITS: Medical Dental Vision 401k (match) Paid Time Off Paid Holidays Tuition Reimbursement Uniform Allowance All supplies/tools provided Advancement Opportunity ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage supplier relationships in a professional and effective manner Establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with key internal customers, to gain an understanding of their needs to improve the service provided and support the customer OTIF target Generate purchase orders; liaise with freight forwarders to plan shipment collections; analyze purchasing and stock reports to maintain stock levels to agreed Company targets Expedite planned supplier deliveries and any overdue requirements to maintain supplier OTIF targets Process incoming goods on the company ERP system and three-way cross-checking of purchase orders / delivery notes / invoices; including resolution of discrepancies as required Monitor supplier performance, providing notification to the sales / production teams when delivery problems are anticipated Negotiate annual pricing, MOQ’s and delivery terms with suppliers Continually monitor Supplier database identifying potential new suppliers in Best Cost Countries and benchmarking costs to current suppliers Coordinate and manage all aspects of the new supplier process including, but not limited to, identification of potential new suppliers, auditing, approving, etc.
Provide coverage for other team members, undertake training and development activities and ad-hoc project work, plus any other reasonable duties as required Other duties as assigned Requirements: Associate degree in Business/Supply Chain or 5 years’ experience in a Purchasing/Buyer role in a manufacturing environment Effective written and oral communication skills Good inter-personal skills Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines Good organizational skills Strong number and analytical skills, combined with creative problem-solving abilities Good commercial and business appreciation Computer literate, including good working knowledge of MS Office Preferred Skills: Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Supply Chain Working towards CIPS or equivalent Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques Industry / product knowledge Working familiarity with metal mechanical components Ability to read / understand technical drawings Physical Demands: The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.
During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions.
Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
Employee will be given workstation where he/she is expected to be able to sit and functionally work for 8 hours per day.
Occasionally employee may be exposed to lifting boxes of weight of 30 pounds or less.
