Manufacturing Inventory Specialist

This is a Contract position in Pearland, TX posted November 23, 2021.

Well-established equipment manufacturer located in Pearland, TX seeking an Inventory Specialist. We work hard, are eager to learn, always stay busy and are looking for someone with a similar work ethic.

Job description:

The Inventory Specialist will monitor inventory levels and product movement to alert production and purchasing of potential shortages. You will be responsible for maintaining control and accuracy over all raw materials, manufactured details and finished goods. This role will manage inventory through establishing appropriate stock levels, directing cycle counts, and utilizing systems to maintain inventory levels required daily to meet manufacturing demands.

This position will collaborate with all departments and multiple facilities to assist with inventory needs and production. A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate organizational skills, critical thinking, and problem solving through exceptional verbal & written communication. You will be expected to be self-driven, goal oriented and become a valuable part of the manufacturing team.

Responsibilities:

  • This job requires an extensive understanding of inventory control, order tracking and project bill of material
  • Maintain strict control over Inventory Locations and Warehouses
  • Maintain inventory accuracy between physical/booked counts, investigate discrepancies
  • Work with accounting department to develop and refine inventory control processes/procedures
  • Additional related responsibilities based on needs
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ Supply chain or Inventory control experience
  • Previous experience in production or manufacturing
  • Understanding of of basic accounting principles strongly preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, strong in Excel is a must
  • Knowledge of Sage MAS 90 or equivalent ERP is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Working Conditions:

  • Manufacturing environment with a workspace located off of the shop floor and parts room.
  • Work Safe / Steel toe shoes are required
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
  • Must be able to work in the different climates and weather elements
  • Must have a clean MVR

Position is full time and with some availability to work Saturday’s as needed.

Typical work hours are:

  • Monday through Friday: 7am – 4pm
  • Saturday’s on occasion

Employees are subject to a background and drug screen

Pay is dependent on experience.
