Manufacturing Engineer

Collins Aerospace

This is a Full-time position in Foley, AL posted February 13, 2022.

Collins Aerospace is looking for a Manufacturing Process Engineer to support the deployment of CORE/Continuous Improvement (CI) operating systems throughout Aerostructures to achieve best-in-class performance.

Responsibilities

  • Will be a valued professional contributor on a project or work team to achieve critical transformations and problem resolution.
  • Develop and apply foundational knowledge of CORE/CI or other lean Tools and methodologies to improve processes and standards.
  • Influence improvements and changes within the work area.
  • Responsible for the tactical application of basic CORE/CI or other lean tools.
  • Support improvements of metrics including event/project closure.
  • Participates in kaizen/CI events including leadership weeks.
  • Builds networks across the work area.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and less than 2 years prior relevant experience OR in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering is highly preferred.
  • Awareness of Lean/CORE principles for example: 5S, Standard Work, Visual Controls, RTPR / QCPC, Kaizen events.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong customer focus.
