Join our mission today. Primary Responsibilities: + Using AutoCAD Inventor, Aid in creation of innovative designs and prototypes. Generate design documentation such as requirements specifications, schematics, DFMEA, verification test procedures and test reports under EASA/FAA & OEM design control practices.+ Support the lead engineer, Engineering and Technical Services Manager to ensure design documentation meets the company and regulatory requirements.+ Support engineering in the Generation of quality and technical documentation to support design activities and quality system requirements including maintenance of Design History Files.+ Participate in requirements, peer and technical design reviews as they pertain to relevant technologies or products.+ Produce regular progress reports on assigned projects. Conduct measurements and analysis, Design of Experiments, create engineering designs, develop plans and keep drawings and specifications on all projects.+ Assist in product/process introduction, production troubleshooting, complaint investigation (RRCA) or individual measurement and analysis projects.+ Collect and analyses pertinent information and make recommendations with respect to project patent opportunities.+ Support the lead engineer in Summarizing, analyses, and make appropriate recommendations from test results or other process related findings including analysis of test data to establish performance standards for newly implemented or modified products/processes.+ Support the lead engineer in writing (in conjunction with the design team) design verification, substantiation reports and validation plans, protocols and reports. Assist with validation techniques and associated regulatory requirements including design verification, design validation and process validation.+ Assist teams with the writing of company procedures, protocols and reports. Compile technical files and design dossiers.+ Support the planning, and execution of regular design reviews.+ Support the implementation of testing in compliance with EASA/FAA and NAA+ Work with quality manager to maintain and develop the existing Quality Management System. Support compliance to product quality standards and specifications. Support the quality department in relation to documentation control, calibration, systems management and administration. Support Quality training activities.+ Support the internal and external (supplier) audit programs+ Support the preparation of regulatory submissions as directed by the Engineering & Technical Services Manager.+ Support prototype development as new products are developed and launched into the repair organization.+ Demonstrate best QA and Engineering practices in line with the company objectives.+ Support the Engineering team in the development of risk analysis documentation.+ Implement effective controls on manufactured and purchased components, to include Vendor approval activities.+ Support the customer complaints/vigilance process. Basic Qualifications: + Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.+ Must be a U.S. CitizenNothing matters more to Collins Aerospace than our strong ethical and safety commitments.
