Here, you will make an impact by:+ Provides engineering leadership to the assigned areas of the Stafford Springs manufacturing plant – establishes a network of resources and contacts to meet business goals and customer needs+ Leads local implementation of Management of Change projects in support of global product quality and service goals+ Leads and participates in multiple Lean Six Sigma projects focused on process and quality system improvements+ Monitors ongoing productivity of assigned areas and initiates continuous improvement projects+ Supports site resources with technical knowledge and problem-solving skill set+ Willingness to be on-callYour Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:+ Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institutionAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:+ Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical, Material, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university+ Minimum five years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment+ Experience using lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma problem solving methodology+ Experience with Minitab or other statistical software+ Ability to prioritize, multi-task and remain flexible to changes; responds with a sense of urgencyTravel: May include up to 10% domesticsRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being 3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
