Position: Manufacturing Cleaning & Sanitation Technician
– Night ShiftDepartment: Manufacturing Reports to: Manufacturing Manager Reporting to this Position: No direct reports Hours: 3:30PM
– 12AMBASIC FUNCTION Ensure that all manufacturing tanks, kettles, hoses, drums and totes and mixing utensils are properly cleaned and sanitized per designated SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures).
RESPONSIBILITIES Clean all returned drums/totes from production.
Sanitize all manufacturing utensils used per established sanitation procedures.
Confirm tank has been designated for cleaning as per tag system, clean and sanitize tank following established procedures.
Perform all general housekeeping duties for the manufacturing department.
Take samples from the wash water tank to Quality Control for pH analysis.
Discharge the wash water from the tank when tank is full.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to read and understand instructions provided by the different SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) used to perform duties.
Must be certified as a fork lift driver; or be able to pass the certification process.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.
This may include periods of high heat during the summer months.
Employees are instructed to always follow all Safety Precautions/Procedures for Heat Exposure that has been established by the company.
The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE High School diploma or equivalent Prior experience in a Manufacturing environment preferred.
