Description:Boston Scientific is an international medical device manufacturer with their first large-scale facility being located in Spencer IN. Specifically, at this facility, they manufacture stents, catheters, scopes, enteral feeding systems, and other medical device products. This Engineering Technician would be a part of the scopes group reporting directly to the engineering manager as well manufacturing engineers. The Scopes team consists of two groups with 10 engineers all together and multiple technicians. The addition to this team will give them the ability to cut downtime as well become more proactive in fixing problems on the line. The day-to-day will be based on how the night before goes, if there are problems on the manufacturing floor they will spend the time troubleshooting. If the night before goes well then they will be on a manufacturing line doing project-based work. They will be tasked with “VIPS” Value Improvement Projects support one manufacturing line at a time working through the process to find areas to validate, qualify and troubleshoot. Within these projects, they will be tasked with scrap reduction and safety during the process.
