We’ re hiring Grinders for our client, a metal fabrication company located in Welcome, NC! This is a Contract opportunity offering a competitive pay rate, with a 1st shift working schedule (7: 00am-3: 30pm). The Grinder is responsible for setting up and operating standard  manufacturing  equipment, and performing precision smoothing, polishing, or  grinding  of stainless steel objects. Qualified candidates must have previous experience operating grinding equipment and be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities: 
– Perform precision smoothing, polishing, or  grinding  of stainless steel objects
– Grind external or internal cylindrical tapered surfaces
– Remove metal by the application of abrasives which are bonded to form a rotating wheel
– Rough and finish flat, cylindrical, and conical surfaces
– Read and interpret charts, drawings, and blueprints
– Determine product specifications such as dimensions, tolerances, and number of parts to be ground
– Collect and assemble required products
– Determine grinding speeds, feed rates, holding fixtures, and grinding wheels to be used
– Mount grinding wheel                          
– Set up and operate standard  manufacturing  equipment
– Deburr, buff or polish materials to specifications
