PURPOSE: To rebuild, repair, and set molds to improve their running condition. This will also include work on tooling components while set in their production machines. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Repair and rebuild molds and dies. 2. Make components and changes on existing components and die changes. 3. Assist the Group Leaders and Lead persons in planning work in the shop. 4. Assist the Group Leaders and Lead persons in sending work to outside vendors. 5. Keep the Tool Room area in a clean and orderly manner. 6. Assist other departments where their skills are needed. 7. Keep the molds running as efficiently as possible while they are running in production (fixing water leaks, air leaks, working with production personnel on mold problems, etc?) 8. Assist the mold cleaners with repairs that are needed and to help clean molds when time allows. 9. Record in the Mold Maintenance Log book any maintenance that is completed on every mold. 10. Inform the Scheduling Department when there is a mold problem that is going to be down for any length of time. 11. Assist in the training of less experienced personnel. 12.
