Manufacturing Engineer Fabrication Tier I Automotive, mechanical engineer, By joining JAC Products as a Manufacturing Engineer, you can experience our unique culture first hand.

In this position, you will use your professional experience to support the overall strategic initiatives of the manufacturing site and the effective execution of deliverables including ownership for the Process Flow Diagram, PFMEA, Capital Asset Request (CAR) Approval, Equipment Plan, and Installation, Equipment Qualification, Tooling and Equipment Tryout, Run at Rate, Operator Work Instructions.This position will support product launches and lead the creation of specific process work instructions.

The Manufacturing Engineer also verifies BOM for parts manufactured on assigned cells and supports the development of packaging and ensures BOMs and packaging instructions are accurate.

There is also the opportunity to work with Launch Mangers, Facility Tooling and Equipment Suppliers to develop and build assembly fixtures, aids or other equipment needed.Requirements and Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or the equivalent discipline Three (3) or more years’ experience in the relevant manufacturing process(s) Practical, successful experience in work-cell layout and the development of Standard Work Advanced technical knowledge of: automotive exterior and interior trim components, including roof rack and storage systems (preferred) Knowledge of Datum Structure and Design for Manufacturing Strong working knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts, leading PPAP process and cost saving initiatives Excellent communication skills both written and oralMore about us:JAC Products has been a pioneer in the Tier I automotive space for over 50 years and continues to test the limits of functional exterior trim products.
