Due to our continued growth we are looking for personally driven and dependable candidates to join our team as a General Manufacturers for our facility in Cary, IL

True Value Company is looking for a safe, personally driven and dependable associate who is interested in working with an enthusiastic, fast-paced, customer-focused team.

  Scheduled Days:  Monday through Friday                Hours: 6:00 am to 2:30 pm  Starting Pay Rate:  $ 15.25 per hour

  The General Manufacturer is responsible for the manufacture of coatings products.  Tends paint mixing machines that mix paint, lacquer, and stain.

Computes amounts and weights of paint, lacquer, solvent, or thinner required from standard formula.

Measures viscosity of product.

Maintains record of paint issued and inventory of supplies on hand.

You may be responsible for operating power equipment; using small hand tools, pallet handlers and hand trucks. 

Position Description
The General Manufacturer performs the following tasks safely with the customer in mind:
Attaches powered mixer to barrels of unmixed paint and starts mixer to stir paint for specified time to obtain specified consistency.

Computes amounts and weights of paint, lacquer, solvent, or thinner required from standard formula, and pours specified amounts into mixing machine.

Starts mixer and allows it to run for prescribed time to attain specified viscosity and color.

Measures viscosity.

Pumps paint from central pumping station to spray booths.

Filters paint to remove impurities.

Maintains record of paint issued and inventory of supplies on hand.

May operate power equipment including: forklifts, pallet handlers and hand trucks May use small hand tools

Position Qualifications
A successful team member possesses the following qualifications:
High School diploma/GED or equivalent work experience is preferred Minimum 18 -years-old Must successfully complete pre-employment drug screen and background check Basic math and English comprehension Ability to operate all manufacturing equipment and perform all mixing duties Ability to work in a team environment.

Good attention to detail Must have ability to stand and walk 8 to 10 hours/day; Must have ability to repetitively lift, handle, rotate, lift up to 25 lbs.

frequently, and 75 lbs.

occasionally; lift from floor to five feet high.

Must have ability to work with chemicals, paints, solvents and wear a respirator.
