We also license Flash-IP solutions that are incorporated in a broad range of products.Job DescriptionThis position will be responsible for implementing projects specifically relating to process engineering designs and functions including, but not limited to, improvement and maintenance of production equipment, physical plant and some design aspects of manufacturing.Design, develop, implement, and maintain equipment and processes necessary for manufacturing.* Plan and perform scheduled plant and equipment installation and maintenance factoring in design calculations and specifications with minimum downtime.* Ensure assembly and test processes are maintained with controlled limits.* Implement best practices in process controls, production tracking and yield monitoring* Failure mode and root cause analysis of yield and quality.* Provide job training to manufacturing and other personnel.* Analyze production and quality problems with a goal to reduce rework and labor hours.* Work with production personnel regarding equipment troubleshooting and improvement to reduce cycle time, lower costs and improve quality.* Provide Engineering interface to ensure producibility, testability, and repeatability.* Provide process improvements, innovations and introduction of new production techniques.* New Product Introduction:Manufacturing plan creation and executionNew product assembly process documentationFixtures and tooling as requiredJob RequirementsB.S. Degree in Technical Discipline* 2 years engineering experience or equivalent combination of experience and education* Ability to work with minimal supervision* Programming skills, Visual Basic a plus* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions* Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables* Strong oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, vendors, and individuals of all levels* This position does not require travelDesired Qualifications* Motion control experience* Laser marking/cutting experience* Project management experience* Manufacturing and/or maintenance experience* Participation in continuous improvement activities, including 5S* Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings* Knowledge of quality systems and ISO 9001ITAR StatementThis job requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by the export laws of the United States.
