The role reports to the Production Development Manager and is located in Senatobia, Mississippi.
The Continuous Improvement Team focuses on both developing good processes for new products as well as improving existing processes for the plant.
These projects are executed through improvement projects and Kaizen events.
This position is an in-person position.
Your responsibilities
Obtain feedback from critical stakeholders involved in the new product or the process improvement
Work with cross-functional teams to execute projects on time and on budget
Apply lean manufacturing, six sigma, and other manufacturing best practices to new products in order to improve their efficiency and eliminate waste
Find and pitch improvement ideas, and then execute ideas if approved into a full project
Document any best practices discovered and/or standards implemented
Your background
Currently enrolled in a degree program in the US
GPA 3.0 plus
Preferred majors: industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering
Industrial, mechanical, and manufacturing engineering: experience with lean manufacturing, six sigma, or other manufacturing best practice system preferred
Must be currently authorized to work for ABB in the US
