Multi tasking and juggling priorities is a daily routine and with that comes a need for sound judgement making.LafargeHolcim’s Seattle plant is in need of Production/Shipping operators to run its grinding and shipping operations on the Duwamish River in West Seattle.
The 24/7 operation brings raw materials in on ocean going vessels, drys, and grinds the material in 2,500 hp ball mills.
The facility markets & sells 7 different cementitious products and ships finished product in bulk bags, truck, rail and barge.
Over a period of time, the position can offer opportunities to learn about, and work with, most all things present at the facility, which includes marine operations, heavy equipment such as a forklifts/skidsteers/loaders/excavators, industrial manufacturing equipment & automation, business computer systems, customer facing activity, rail road operations, water management systems, and environmental stewardship systems.
There is no shortage of opportunities to operate square point shovels and brooms as well; we manufacture powder.QualificationsThe position currently has a 5 tier pay scale ranging from $26?
to $34?
an hour based on an annual evaluation of soft and hard skills.

The position is a crucial role in contributing to the success of the business here in Seattle.
There may be times where the ideal candidate may be asked to help contribute outside of his normal daily activities to ensure optimal plant performance such as plant clean up (shoveling) and or operation of heavy equipment if qualified.
