What you’ll do on a typical day:Report to the Engineering ManagerPartner with the Pricing department to understand business needs and align those to potential data and analytics effortsGather and integrate data from various sources for use in advanced analytics activitiesIdentify, analyze and interpret trends, patterns and relationships in complex data sets using advanced analytics tools and modelsPrepare findings in a professional manner, presenting on results and providing actionable insights and recommendations to leadershipPromote a data-driven culture through ongoing partnership and dialog with the businessWhat you need to succeed at XPO:At a minimum, you’ll need:Pursuing BS, MS, or PhD in a STEM-based field (ie.

Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Economics, Applied Math, Statistics, etc.)2 or more years of relevant courseworkIt’d be great if you also have:A passion for and experience with analyzing data to identify and solve business problems using quantitative techniques such as simulation, forecasting, optimization, decision analysis, and machine learningFundamental understanding of Applied Economics, Revenue Management, and Pricing principlesProficiency with one or more of the following programming languages: SQL, Python and/or RExceptional analytical skills with the ability to efficiently collect, organize, analyze, and tell a story with dataExcellent verbal and written communication skillsBe part of something big.
