JOIN OUR CELEBRATION Warehouse employees are important members of the ABC team, who make sure that product is ready for shipment to our 125 stores.
Team members work in a physically demanding environment where meeting productivity and safety standards are required.
Our Seasonal Temporary Team Members provide essential support during the peak holiday season.
They provide general labor, picking bottles, making boxes, and other functions throughout the ABC Distribution Center.
The holiday season begins October 15, 2021 and continues through January 5th, 2022.
This is a flexible schedule job with 25 hours per week, Monday
– Thursday.
WEEKENDS OFF Specific Job Responsibilities Responsibilities will vary depending on daily needs at the warehouse.
Specific responsibilities could include: Put away cases of product in the proper location using a wrist scanner Pick and pack individual bottles in cases for shipment to stores Read production schedule and store shipping orders or requisitions to determine product to be moved, gathered, or distributed Open cases, boxes and containers of product from designated storage location in distribution center Participate in cycle counts by physically scanning product in line to ensure accurate counts for warehouse inventory Box and seal up picked product for store shipment Account for any damages occurred during shift and cleaning any spills or breakages associated with the damaged merchandise Set up and clean to prepare for next workday, including folding new boxes and sweeping/picking up assigned work areas Help move and load boxes at the loading dock Fold and tape empty boxes to keep plenty in supply for shipping Sweep and clean warehouse aisles and general areas Breakdown boxes and bring to trash bin Other duties as assigned by your supervisor Warehouse Responsibilities
– All Employees Follow all ABC safety protocols Promptly report and clean up spills, breakage or other issues Lift 35-50-pound cases, sometimes a hundred times a day Stand on feet for 10 hours a day Maintain minimum productivity standards per department Assemble boxes for spilt case line Clean, sanitize, and keep warehouse tidy Prepare work area for next day, including charging equipment and organizing area Other duties as assigned Job Requirements Minimum Experience, Skills, and Education 6 months of warehouse experience is preferred Must be able to pass company-issued background and drug screenings 19 years of age or older Must speak and understand job-level English Have a positive teamwork attitude; is reliable and trust-worthy Physical Requirements With or Without Accommodations Must be able to remain standing for long periods of time, upwards of 10 hours at a time, and move throughout the warehouse Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of product Must be able to reach with hands and arms for product and use hands to work with and feel product Able to frequently climb and descend ladders or lift platforms that may be greater than 6 feet.
Able to move body to access products that are out of reach above or below body level Sense of smell occasionally needed to find damages that may not be visible Close vision (at 20 inches or less), distance vision (at 20 feet or more), peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus are needed.
Work Environment Frequent humid conditions: the warehouse is a not temperature controlled.
Fans are provided.
Moving mechanical parts are frequently used.
The employee is frequently exposed to working in high, precarious places (greater than 6ft).
There is occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
