Description: A warehouse worker contributes to the success of the warehouse by performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock.
It’s a physical job If you have never worked in a warehouse environment before, you should understand that you will be on your feet for 90%
– 95% of your shift.
It also gets loud in our manufacturing and distribution centers.
While we want everyone to feel comfortable, our ability to control the temperature in our locations is limited.
Indoor warehouse and manufacturing sites working conditions are impacted by seasons and the weather, it may be very hot or very cold.
Responsibilities: Load and unload pallets and individual cases to and from trailers, as well as collect empty pallet boards and carry them to storage Building cardboard boxes Pick appropriate cases according to order using required technology Load trailers via carts or stack cases on the floor of a truck trailer Receive and distribute product and assist in weekly product inventory Sorting cardboard by putting them in individual bins, strapping them and rolling the bundles on a 53ft trailer using a dolly General housekeeping and specific sanitation tasks as required (e.g.
you may be asked to sweep the floor, help clean a trailer, take out the trash, etc.) Lift objects that weigh anywhere between 15 pounds and 50 pounds (i.e.
anything from a bowling ball to a twin-size mattress) with or without a reasonable accommodation Responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders Sorting cartons at case rate; clean outs, load outs of cartons Sanitation of carton area Service of cartons to crane operator and production Carton inventory control, recycling of old cardboard Requirements: Ability to work on weekends, holidays as well as off shift Willing to work overtime Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time with or without a reasonable accommodation Ability to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods with or without a reasonable accommodation Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, push, pull, and handle products with or without a reasonable accommodation Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to wear required safety attire, which may include wearing a hairnet, safety glasses, and/or a bump cap for the duration of your workday.
PPE – MUST WEAR STEEL TOES BOOTS, this is required to enter the facility.
