We are currently seeking a Warehouse Specialist to join our Rental Division.Messer’s reputation for support, commitment, and career growth makes it an attractive place to advance and finish your careerJob Summary:The primary responsibility of the Warehouse Specialist is to utilize any single vehicle or combination towing a trailer, with gross vehicle weights single or combination (GVWR) of less than 26,000 pounds such as a pickup truck and trailer to deliver and pickup small equipment, consumables, and parts in a safe and professional manner.Responsibilities:Physical Demands/ Working ConditionsActivities require climbing in/out of truck as well as in/out of bed of truck to load/unloadFrequent lifting up to 25 lbs., occasional lifting up to 75 lbs.

Exposure to loud noise, dust, gas or fumesWork in unprotected weather elementsAbility to wear hearing and eye protection as requiredAbility to palletize items for secure loadingAbility to walk and stand on concrete and uneven surfaces for at least four hours per dayAbility to climb over and into heavy equipment several times per dayDuties Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhere to all safety proceduresMaintain positive customer relations through professional interactions with customersFollow standard operating proceduresLead Safety Initiative for the warehouse and yard areaAttend formal trainingLoad and unload equipment while complying with DOT regulations for height, width and weightDrive non-CDL loads to and from jobsitesPrepare new equipment for rent or saleAssist with deliveriesAssist with shipping and receivingAdapt to changing environment with easeInventory control and warehouse organization
– Understand barcoding, warehouse and material flowPOS systems used by the Rental DivisionOther duties as assigned/requiredComplete tasks with minimal supervisionQualifications:High School Diploma or GEDClean driving recordBasic verbal and written skillsBasic knowledge of toolsBasic mechanical aptitudeBasic computer skillsTeamwork skillsCustomer service skillsAbilities:Possess all auditory, speaking and communicating capabilitiesPhysical requirements: sitting, standing, walking, bending, twisting, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 75lbs.
