SUMMARY:
RESPONSIBLE FOR SORTING ITEMS DURING THE UNLOADING PROCESS ON WAREHOUSE FLOOR. MOVES CARTS AND DOLLIES WITH ITEMS ON THEM, UNLOADS TRUCKS AND BOXES, AND LOADS PARTS ONTO CONVEYOR BELTS. SORTS ITEMS AS NEEDED.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
THE FOLLOWING REFLECTS MANAGEMENT’S DEFINITION OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS FOR THIS JOB BUT DOES NOT RESTRICT THE TASKS THAT MAY BE ASSIGNED. MANAGEMENT MAY ASSIGN OR REASSIGN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS JOB AT ANY TIME DUE TO REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION OR OTHER REASONS.
- START UP AND STOP EQUIPMENT.
- SORT AND SCAN MIX PALLETS ON CONVEYOR BELT TO ENSURE CORRECT LOCATION OF PARTS FOR OUTBOUND AREAS.
- DETERMINE THE METHOD IN WHICH TO SORT AND SCAN TOTE LEVEL MATERIAL BY USE OF QUANTITIES AND RANS.
- DEMONSTRATE PROFICIENT ACCURACY WITH SCANNING RECON MATERIAL ON THE FIRST OCCURRENCE.
- IDENTIFY SUPPLIER NON- COMPLIANCE ISSUES WITH MATERIAL AND REPORT ALL INCIDENTS TO MANAGEMENT.
- IDENTIFY POTENTIAL MATERIAL SPILLS IN INBOUND TRAILERS AND STAGING LANES AND REPORT ALL INCIDENTS TO MANAGEMENT.
- MAINTAIN A CLEAN, SAFE, AND ORGANIZED PRODUCTION AREA.
- LOAD AND UNLOAD MATERIAL FROM TRAILERS, STAGING LANES, AND DOLLIES.
- PUT AWAY TOTE LEVEL AND BULK MATERIAL TO FLOOR AND RACK LOCATIONS WITH APPROPRIATE EQUIPMENT
- REMOVE DEFECTIVE PARTS FROM CONVEYOR AND REPORT TO SUPERVISOR FOR PROCESSING.
- REMOVE PRODUCT AND MACHINE ATTACHMENTS.
- VERIFY OS&D REPORTS TO ENSURE ARE PARTS ARE UNLOADED, SORTED, AND SCANNED, AND FREE OF ERRORS.
- MUST HAVE GOOD ATTENDANCE AND SAFETY RECORDS.
- NO FINAL WRITTEN CORRECTIVE ACTIONS ON RECORD.
- ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED BY SUPERVISOR.
QUALIFICATIONS & PREREQUISITES
- HIGH SCHOOL OR GED EQUIVALENCY
- POSSESS BASIC COMPUTER SKILLS (EXCEL & WORD)
- POSSESS GOOD COMMUNICATION SKILLS (ORAL & WRITTEN)
- GENERAL COMPUTER SKILLS
- MUST BE CERTIFIED ON ALL SIT- DOWN, STAND- UP AND TUGGER EQUIPMENT
- MUST BE ABLE TO WORK FLEXIBLE HOURS INCLUDING NIGHTS, WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS AS NEEDED
