Responsibilities: Job Purpose:
Leads the team to ensure that the Kitting processes are completed safely, timely and efficiently.
Builds positivity, constructive dialogue and teamwork within the workforce.
Works as a member of the team by performing necessary tasks to accomplish routine requirements while proactively leading others to do the same and while delivering tasks on-time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The functions and performance requirements will vary with workflow, but generally the job responsibilities unique to this position could include all or a portion of the following.
Maintain a safe work environment and compliance with procedures related to job specifications.
Keeps work area clean and orderly per WCL practices and principles
The Lead is responsible for the safety of those workers in his/her work area via implementation of the safety procedures and policies of the organization.
Will be called upon to investigate and report findings of accidents to manager
As a Lead possesses the ability to motivate workers within the team to perform to the best of their abilities.
While sharing tips to improve the work processes, the Lead will assign individuals to specific job tasks
Capable of identifying problems as they develop and communicating to manager
Keep workers supplied with work and supplies necessary to complete work tasks
Intermediate-level PC skills are required
Fills in for absences, as necessary, to meet shipping deadlines
Ability to accurately prepare documents, production sheets and other reports and related paperwork
Able to count and record production work
Responsible for preparation of shipment of all PSO
– on time
Keeps supervisor apprised of issues related to team performance including delays, which could cause PSOs from being completed on time
Assign tasks based on capabilities of Associates on the team
As a Team member communicates worker performance as it relates to quality/quantity
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications: Qualifications and Physical Demands:
Proficiency in CLICK System
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience, Competencies and Education
Language Skills
Must be able to read, write and understand English.
The ability to speak Spanish is helpful but not required.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to perform basic mathematical functions, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of practical issues related to Kitting.
Ability to deal with a variety of abstract or concrete variables.
Must be able to work OT as scheduled
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk and move for a full shift, or 8-12 hours at a time; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; talk and hear.
Must also be capable of safely operating powered industrial equipment.
There are lifting and moving requirements up to 40 pounds.
Will train on 1st shift first two to four weeks before moving to permanent 2nd shift role.
