WARN Industries is looking for our next Warehouse Coordinator to join our team in Clackamas, OR! This position will be helping lead our swing shift team to success by providing leadership in team quality, product distribution and receiving and problem-solving issues while ensuring customer expectations are being met. Warn Industries is a fully committed team-based organization. The Distribution/Receiving Team Leader must be a leader and a coach, not a directive controller. Accountability for distribution/receiving team performance resides with the Distribution/Receiving Team Leader and s/he must accomplish team objectives through team leadership and development.Essential Functions:The essential functions of this position include leading a small group of Distribution team members in a cost-efficient manner while supporting the development and maintenance of the shipping and receiving functions of the company, prioritizing and completing all essential functions in a timely and efficient manner, adjusting for changing priorities and availability of resources, and demonstrating initiative and application in continuous improvement in each aspect of the position’s span of control.Working in conjunction with Logistics and Warehouse Manager and Distribution Supervisor:1. Lead Distribution team’s daily activities which would include but not be limited to: (a) Assign team members tospecific tasks to support shipment and production plan as provided by the Manager and/or Supervisor; (b)Execute distribution workload and schedules to meet shipping and receiving objectives, maintain accuracy andattain output requirements; (c) Coordinate with team members in problem-solving activities that enhance safety,quality and productivity objectives; (d) Execute regular cycle counting activities, to include annual inventoryprocess and quality audits; (e) Lead the team in working in a dynamic environment and managing spacerequirements for put-away, storage, retrieval of products as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Manager; and (f)Maintains Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and motivates Distribution team members using a lead by exampleculture given access to internal controls, self-assessment and reporting activities.2. Contribute to a successful work group through positive interactions, active listening, meaningful collaborations,and the constructive exchange of ideas designed to meet or exceed the organization’s strategic goals. Sets theexample for other Distribution team members by: (a) Participating in employment, training, development, teammember motivation, counseling and discipline; (b) Working with team members to motivate their performanceand team contribution through growth and development opportunities provided by the Supervisor and Manager;(c) Actively monitor and complete maintenance and checklist requirements of equipment and a safe, cleanenvironment; (d) Communicate effectively with assigned teams and shifts; (e) and reporting operational issuesand providing suggestions to the Supervisor for continuous improvement consideration in the Distribution area.3. Participate with strategic and tactical activities such as: (a) Actively participate in assigned areas ofresponsibility in compliance with all applicable laws and policies; (b) Exemplify and act as a champion forsafety, quality and productivity objectives through application of problem-solving and continuous improvement best practices, and operational systems such as MRP, Quality, TPM, etc.; and (d) Execute and complete projectswithin the team or between internal teams that support safety, quality and productivity.4. Interact with Manufacturing, Material Planning, Purchasing, and Maintenance personnel in support ofproduction and capacity planning needs.5. Actively applies Lean principles to problem-solving using the scientific method and demonstrates proficiencyin daily use of Lean/Six Sigma tools within assigned work areas.6. Engages and actively participates in Continuous Improvement projects under the guidance of the DistributionSupervisor and Logistics and Warehouse Manager utilizing Kaizen, Kata, and other Lean/Six Sigma tools.7. Actively continues with education as a learner in Lean principles, concepts, and applications when offered byWarn or Warn Management.8. Must have completed and demonstrate understanding/work application of the following books and classes:Who Moved My Cheese, Lean 101, The Goal, and Kaizen.Required Education and/or Experience:1. Minimum HS Diploma2. Minimum 1 year leadership experience required in a distribution and warehousing environment.3. Able to demonstrate successful execution of processes, procedures, systems, labor management, and timemanagement, both in concept and application, within distribution and warehousing environments.Required Qualifications:1. Minimum 3 years of operational experience with various MHE, including order selectors, reach lifts, sitdowns,electric rider jacks, pallet jacks, and automated stretch-wrappers.2. Minimum 3 years of operational experience with ERP systems, WMS applications, RF-gun technology,label printers, UPS Worldship, FedEx Ship Manager, and 3rd Party Software TMS.3. Minimum 1 year of experience in preparation and completion of all required shipping documents fordifferent modes of transportation in both domestic and international shipments.The characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing theessential functions of this job.
