VDI applies specialized materials, utilizing evaporative and magnetron sputtering technologies to produce film-type products for many industries.Shift Hours: 5 a.M.

3:30 p.M.

with some overtime working until 5 p.M.OR 7 a.M.

5:30 p.M.Position Description: Perform duties in support of overall warehouse organization, packing products for shipment, movement of material to production lines, performing inventories, labeling all materials, assist in management of non-conforming products and warehouse cleanliness.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Packs & prepares orders for daily shipments.Enter necessary data into production systemsShips using UPS or FEDEX Freight when applicable per established guidelinesLoading outgoing trucks and unloading incoming trucks.Stocks all film, rotating inventory so that older stock in in front FIFOStores all other warehouse supplies/tools in their assigned areasEnsures warehouse organization & stock rotation including cleanlinessEnsures timely staging of materials at work centersProcesses returns in & out as per established guidelines notifying appropriate parties and restocking inventory as necessary.Provides Service Excellence to internal and external customers.Education and Experience:High School Diploma or GED Equivalent, Prefer 1-2 years Shipping & Receiving Experience, Prior Forklift experience is a must.Knowledge and Skills:Have a sense of urgency and be able to work under time constraintsAttentive to detailsBasic Computer skillsAbility to read & write EnglishComply with company attendance and punctuality requirementsPerform accurate, neat, and thorough workCommunicate clearly, effectively and professionally in an accurate and timely manner.Use equipment and materials safely and for their intended purposeAbility to work independently and as part of a team.Positive Can Do attitudeStrong team player with a commitment to company values and missionStrong desire to learn, improve skills and to be coached.Understanding of ” Service Excellence” with a desire to provide excellent service to both internal and external customers.Special Requirements:Safety is a top priority at VDI.
