Shipping Clerk

dormakaba is seeking a Shipping/Receiving ClerkLocation:* Huntsville, ALPosition overview:* Prepares deliveries for customers according to scheduled time windows* Secures the receiving and storage of incoming material* Updates shipping papers in SAP and secure data accuracy* Responds to customer inquiries and anticipate upcoming customer needs* Interacts with customers to answer routine and non-routine inquiries* Interacts with other departments to prevent material escalation* Assists with the development of action plans to correct inventory inaccuracies* Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with the shipper to rectify damages and shortages* Confirms the count of the product on each work ticket matches what is on the pallet* Checks to see the product is labeled correctly* Confirms in SAP that the product is complete* Performs stock counts daily using the stand-alone inventory system* Uses SAP to PGI outbound orders as well as routing freight* Releases orders to the floor for outbound shipmentsCritical success factors:* Ability to read, write and understand English in a written and verbal format* Capacity to train individuals* Must be able to understand and perform basic math* Maintain count records and data files* Independent decision-making skillsJob RequirementsEducation and/or Experience Requirements* Forklift certified (required)* Highschool diploma/equivalent (preferred)Apply to this Job
