Job Description

As a Senior UX Researcher, you will join a team of like-minded, mission-driven designers bringing more affordable medical imaging to the world
– by creating digital experiences and products that are simple, human, and bold.

Our Senior Staff UX Researchers take a product, feature, or experience from ideation to production.

This includes vision setting, designing solutions, prototyping, bringing along cross-functional teams, overseeing implementation, and collaborating with other designers, researchers, product managers, analysts, and engineers .

A successful candidate will have a portfolio that demonstrates familiarity with most of these kinds of projects. 

As part of our team, your core responsibilities will be: 

  • Design and conduct studies across important product areas, using methods such as ethnographic/field research, diary studies, surveys, user/usability testing (remote and in-person), ideation workshops, and any other methods you find impactful.
  • Embrace a mixed-methods approach to your work and partner with our data science team to balance your research with both qualitative and quantitative perspectives
  • You will ensure research is completed in a thoughtful and rigorous way, learnings are clearly communicated, and insights are used to inform product decisions.
  • Find creative ways to produce, present, and promote research findings and recommendations throughout the company, to help cultivate the voice of our customers.
  • Perform a broad variety of tasks in support of the role and responsibilities

Qualifications

Baseline skills/experiences/attributes:

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in applied research
  • Familiarity with a wide range of qualitative research methods
  • You are a great storyteller and communicator, able to speak fluently to business people, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders
  • You’re comfortable with multitasking and adapting to an ever-evolving environment and collaborating with teams across multiple geographies and time zones.
  • Experience working in highly collaborative design teams, or other multidisciplinary teams
  • You are a self-starter with the ability to act autonomously

Ideally, you also have these skills/experiences/attributes (but it’s ok if you don’t!):

  • Experience with design tools like Figma and Principle
  • Previous work experience in a consumer-focused tech organization
