Kāpili Services, LLC has a potential need for a Research Coordinator to support the 711th Human Performance Wing RHBFD Biomedical Research Coordinator Support at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, out of Ohio. DUTIES INCLUDE: * * * Shall aide in the managing of research programs and projects, helping draft research documents, coordinate institutional approvals, technical programmatic reviews, conduct market analysis of emerging science and technology, support the collection, analysis, and reporting of research data. * Perform a variety of administrative tasks associated with research: obtain and maintain applicable IRB, HRPO, IACUC, IBC, and MOU data sharing agreements and provide auditing trails to assure protocol compliance; identify problems and/or inconsistencies and monitor research efforts’ progress to include documentation and reporting of adverse events, recommending corrective action as appropriate; and assist in preparation of amendments to protocols and/or modifications to study design as appropriate. * Assist the Core Research Area Lead and PIs with developing and administrating project budgets, tracking expenditures, and generating project financial data supporting program management and research lead duties; coordinate with the PI any approvals required for expenditures; assist with routing approval documents, and maintain tracking of where documents are within the approval process; prepare project progress reports for USAF leadership. * Schedule meetings across multiple stakeholders engage and coordinate efforts with subject matter experts, conduct literature reviews, data collection, and management, managing local requirements for document clearances per Scientific and Technical Information (STINFO) regulations. * Assist in drafting, preparation, and/or editing of research publications, including abstracts, posters, technical reports, manuscripts, and slide presentations. * Perform a variety of technology-based tasks associated with research, including creating research documents, management spreadsheets, slideshow presentations, as well as building and maintaining research databases. * Assist in the management, coordination, and quality improvement of the systematic collection, aggregation, coding, entry, storage, retrieval, and reporting of relevant patient data from DOD clinical databases. * Recommend solutions to improve processes and maximize mission accomplishment through efficient utilization of resources. * Attend meetings, as required, with government and civilian organizations, program managers, academia, clinicians, and subject matter experts. * Support the efforts of the PIs through the creation of spreadsheets of data; data extraction/collection, coding, evaluation, and interpretation. * Identify inconsistencies or discrepancies in medical documentation and recommend processes or guidelines for resolution. * Compile and enter data from multiple data sources. * Assure confidentiality of documents, communications, and study data (CITI training current and follow HIPAA and IRB requirements). * Perform tasks to support the RHB Government Equipment Custodian, including working directly with 711HPW/OML to facilitate equipment procurement and logistical maintenance, generating new equipment requests, drafting, processing and routing required documentation to obtain new equipment, as well as managing equipment utilization, calibration and location documentation. MANDATORY REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: * Experience with supporting human-subject research, including work with Institutional Review Boards (IRBs) and technical reporting: obtain and maintain applicable IRB, HRPO, IACUC, IBC, MOU, data sharing agreements and provide auditing trails to assure protocol compliance; identify problems and/or inconsistencies and monitor subjects’ progress and demonstrated experience with all tasks below: * Exceptionally high capacity for working autonomously and performing assigned tasks with minimal supervision and shall have demonstrated competency and effectiveness in working with inter-professional teams. * Possess the ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with research colleagues, medical professionals, DoD employees, and government officials, as well as civilian researchers in academic and clinical settings on research execution and translation * Have the ability to organize, manage and perform projects related to ongoing research efforts, assist the Core Research Area Lead and Program Managers in dealing with challenging technical issues, collaborate with Principal Investigators (PI), and independently perform assignments based on general guidance, and possess excellent interpersonal communication, written and verbal, skills * Self-motivated individual who possesses an enthusiasm for developing innovative solutions in a rapid development environment, an understanding of process-based approaches to research and development, and thorough attention to detail ensuring that tasks are accomplished in a complete, precise, and accurate manner. * Possess proficiency with clinical databases and information technology to Microsoft software programs, such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Access, * Maintain any required licensures/certifications including CITI training. * Have a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) in place with their company based on the potential access to confidential, proprietary, and/or sensitive information. NDA shall be provided to the Government Program Manager by the start of performance. REQUIRED EDUCATION: * Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or business with 1-2 years of research and/or healthcare practice experience as well as familiarity and experience with logistics. CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: * Must be a US citizen. * Must be able to pass and maintain a Tier 1 background check (T1)/SF85.
