Research and Development Assistant

Gill Studios, Inc. (located in Lenexa Kansas) a prominent printer and manufacturer of labels, decals, signs and related products in the promotional products industry has an immediate opening in its R & D department. Position requires a self-motivated, hands-on person that is inquisitive and possesses a “systems” approach and insight. Areas of responsibility include evaluating materials and production processes, carrying out special projects that involve prepress, press or post areas of production, and occasional troubleshooting. Good people and management skills are a must.

Education

Graphic Communications or Digital and Print Media Technology degree preferred. Will consider degrees from other technical areas like Packaging, Engineering or Chemistry provided interest in applying knowledge to printing and manufacturing company.

Key Skills

Effective communicator within the company as well as with outside contacts. Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.

Solid record keeping skills. Excellent organization and planning skills.

Ability to manage multiple assignments, tasks and adapt to changing conditions and work assignments.
