It’s an exciting and fast moving place to work!The receiving clerk position verifies and keeps records on incoming shipments and prepares items for inventory by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards.Essential Functions* Operates lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas.* Operates PB crimp tools, including diagnosis, repair and processing.* Operates the stretch wrap banders.* Unpacks, examines and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Receives and processes all defective parts returned for replacement or credit.* Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.* Responsible for making arrangements for pick up by the carrier specified on the customer’s purchase order, which is conveyed to the shipping clerk by final inspection via the shipping instructions.* Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.* Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of materials on hand at all times.* Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.* Required to make pick ups and deliveries to our suppliers for parts and raw materials using a company van.Required Education and Experience* Minimum of a high school education and one year of factory-related experience in shipping or receiving.* Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math.* A valid driver’s license and a good driving record.* Licensed forklift truck operator.* All candidates must have reliable transportation, must be able to lift/carry up to 50lbs, and be able to work the 1st shift (6 am-2:30 pm) plus overtime.Competitive Pay & BenefitsCareertrack performance reviews and possible subsequent pay increases based on performance every 4 months!Paid Holidays & PTOABOUT FORMS+SURFACESForms+Surfaces is a leading designer and manufacturer of architectural products used in public spaces around the world.
