General LaborDate:Jun 4, 2021Location:Aurora, IL, US, 60504Company:Glanbia Pay Rate: $16.00 per hourMonday Friday shifts6:00 AM 2:30 PM2:00 PM 10:30 PM (+ $0.75 an hour)10:00 PM 6:30 AM (+ $1.00 an hour)Essential Functions:Support and abide by the companys safety program and all safety initiatives, policies and procedures.Report all injuries to the Supervisor immediatelyEnsure that work procedures are being followed in a consistent manner (Safety, Quality, GMP, MAV, HACCP)Know and Understand lock out/tag procedures in the departmentPerform safety inspections and be aware of all the safety points on the machinesBe able to successfully perform setups on manufacturing machines assigned toTrouble-shoot defects and own the quality of the productsUnderstand the differences in powders and be able to successfully perform the procedures associated with allergen and flavor cleansCommunicate with the appropriate Leadership if issues arise in regards to safety and/or quality issuesResponsible for filling out paper reports correctly and clearly (parts, allergen clean and flavor change sheets, safety audits, etc.)Complete monthly training coursesCollaborate with other departments for process improvementsWear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): N95 Respirator, lab coat, safety shoes, safety glasses, bump cap, hearing protection, hair net, beard net, and nitrile glovesPerform other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Basic information of the positionAbility to read, write, and communicate in English fluentlyKnowledge of or familiar with GMPs/HACCPAbility to operate a machine with the knowledge of changing over partsAbility to follow written and oral instructionsProficiently operate all line equipment assigned to with Quality ownership of the processKnowledge of batch recording and material handling proceduresBasic math skillsBasic computer skills (using SAP System and RF scan guns) Decision Making/ Problem Solving:Give at least 3 examples of the types of decisions this job will typically make without higher level approval.Identify defects on the line or work area and immediately communicate to the appropriate leadership member.Working with the maintenance department on improvementsChanging parts of the machines to operate with different types of products Education/Experience:High School Diploma or equivalent preferredExperience in Food environment or Consumer productExperience using WMS or ERP system with RF scanning a plus PHYSICAL DEMANDS:(The work is classified as Light Medium Physical Demand Level (PDL) by the US Dept.
