The Digital/Web Producer supports the production, maintenance and architecture of Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center’s web and digital properties as part of the UX, Design & Development team withinthe Communications & Marketing department.In this role, your responsibilities will include project/product management, content strategy execution and digital engagement efforts across internal and external channels.
You will also work to optimize user flows while creating and editing content in Adobe Experience Manager sites (AEM) and Blackbaud’s Luminate Online products.Our UX team is focused on how these platforms can be used to drive measurable engagement across audiences (patients, donors, scientific peers, and business partners) in support of Fred Hutch’s mission to cure, prevent and treat cancer and other devastating diseases.
You will build collaborative relationships with faculty and staff, designers, developers, analysts and writers to continuously develop better online tools and experiences.Responsibilities:Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:Produce, edit, and maintain content for responsive web pages, including forms/search related to clinical trials, employee recruitment, donations and event registrationsParticipate or manage the planning and implementation of site architecture with global structure and SEO in mindDevelop, manage and implement project plans and site mapsWrite technical user stories to communicate UX/UI and technical requests to web development teamManage project workflow, meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneouslyWork closely with UX designers, web developers, writers, philanthropy and other groups on projects and general maintenance of websitesCollaborate with UX team and stakeholders to gather information and develop specific plans for their representation onlineDetermine web page layout and support design planningUnderstand brand as it relates to design patterns, user experience across channels (email, digital campaigns, webpages) and documentation within style guidelinesIdentify opportunities to improve UX/UI to ensure excellent online experiences for internal and external audiencesStrive for excellence and innovation in online storytelling, interactives, and ideation to expand and deepen public awareness of the impact of the center’s mission and scienceQualifications:Minimum qualifications:2+ years in a web production role, or equivalent experience2+ years project management experienceStrong planning and project management skills and proactive customer serviceBasic understanding of content, branding and messaging as applied in digital/product contextsAbility to juggle and complete competing projects and deadlinesDetail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skillsTeam player and adaptable to changing needs and prioritiesPreferred qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, marketing, communications, or related fieldExperience with HTML, CSS, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver) and content management systems (AEM, Drupal, WordPress, etc.)Experience with Google Analytics, Microsoft Office suite, JIRA, and Digital Asset ManagersFamiliarity with writing technical specifications/documentationBasic knowledge of web design, user testing, quality-assurance testing and architecture principles that drive engagement and conversionsExperience working with teams using Agile methodologyA statement describing your commitment and contributions toward greater diversity, equity, inclusion, and antiracism in your career or that will be made through your work at Fred Hutch is requested of all finalists.Our Commitment to Diversity: We are proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA) Employer.
