Dispatch Clerk ***New Hire Incentive*** $1500**

Rapid Response Delivery, one of the largest Delivery Services in the Mid-Atlantic, is looking for a reliable Dispatch Clerk. This individual is responsible for scheduling and dispatching on-demand drivers for various pickup and deliveries. You will also review load plans to determine appropriate shipment routing and communicate those requirements to the customer in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will work well in a team and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. The goal of this position is to assist in managing the logistics to enhance business development, and ensure sustainability, teamwork, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities

• Assigns carriers and books loads into dispatch system, assures accurate information is available for dispatch, and tracks loads.
• Coordinates with carriers to ensure on-time delivery by tracking trucks for pick-up, estimating times of arrival and delivery, and recovering loads when necessary.
• Responds to customer needs by answering e-mails, phone calls, tracking shipments, and moving shipments.

Qualifications

• One-two years of Logistics experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects’
