Working with department managers and associates, you will help create an exceptional customer experience that will have a genuine impact on repeat business and overall store success as you: Assist with stocking, food prep, cleaning, quality control and inventory for salad bar items Help customers with selections upon request Ensure the salad bar is fully stocked and clean for our customers Use suggestive selling techniques to promote products Assist customers in person and over the phone and process special orders using the Dierbergs Party Guide Why Dierbergs is different We offer a flexible schedule and benefits rarely found in the retail industry.

This role enables you to be creative as you work with a broad range of food items.

What you need to succeed An approachable, friendly personality to provide the level of service for which Dierbergs is known Basic math and computer skills, as well as understanding of basic weights and measures Ability to work in varied temperature-controlled environments (36-degree cooler and 45-degree prep area) Ability to follow safety and food-handling guidelines and keep your work area safe and clean Flexibility to work a varied schedule that includes weekends and holidays Physical Requirements Lifting & Carrying Up to 35 lbsoccasionally Pushing & Pulling Up to 20 lbs of force occasionally Occasional Sit, kneel, climb, overhead reach & power grip Frequent Stand, walk, head turn, side reach, grasp, pinch, finger manipulation & feel Constant Handling & forward reach What’s init for you?
