Responsibilities
Peraton Labs is looking fora highly motivated individual tolead a team of researchers to develop cutting edge technologiesthatsolvethe nationstoughesttechnical problems.Thesuccessful candidate willhave a track record ofleading teams,developingnew concepts,identifyingfunding opportunities, interfacingwith customers, and securingexternal funding for research efforts.Thecandidate willdisplay thought leadership and willbe responsible for setting thetechnical direction of work within the wireless systems and networks research lab.
Projects within the labinvolve technologiesbroadly categorized as wireless systems, includingelectronic warfare (EW)systems, wireless communications, radar processing,multi-antenna signal processing.
Many of the research topics are expected to be cross disciplinary and will involve some aspects of machine learning, as well.
Main responsibilities include:
Developing project opportunities and securing external funding.
Providing technical leadership within the department.
Leadingteamstoexecutecomplex projects.
Developingpartnerships and buildingrelationships with other organizations in the wireless community.
Interfacingwith external customers and representingthe organization at professional technical meetings and conferences.
Primary work location is Red Bank, NJ.
Candidates may alternatively take an office in Basking Ridge, NJ.
Qualifications
Requires 12 to 15 years with BS/BA or 10 to 13 years with MS/MA or 7 to 9 years with Ph.D.
This position requires verification of US Citizenship.
Demonstrated technical and project and group leadershipexperience.
Demonstrated ability to obtain external funding.
Candidates must be able to obtain a secret security clearance.
Strong written and spoken communications/presentation skills.
