The candidate will provide technical leadership of all data associated with the software applications within Charlie’s Produce, including but not limited to upgrading and providing roadmap of any new systems to support the improve business operations model and reporting. Essential Responsibilities Include but Not Limited ToResponsible for providing data integrity to the business process and manage projects expectations among IT and business teams. In addition, working with the latest technologies for building BI and Data Warehouse solutions that will be used downstream by the customers, business leaders and analystsOpen to reverse engineer existing reporting and databases to accomplish desired business dataDesign, promote and deliver highly-scalable, reliable, and performant pipelines to integrate large volumes of complex data, reduce costs and improve information flowsDevelop and implement long-term strategic road maps and phased plans that mature the data architecture over several years and that support both current and future state business processesCreate short-term tactical solutions to achieve long-term objectives and migrate data from sub-optimized legacy systems to new solutions. Identify and develop opportunities for data reuse, migration, or retirementOversee the mapping of data sources, data movement, interfaces, and analytics-with the goal of ensuring data quality, improving delivery, and reducing costsCreate strategies and plans for data security, backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and archivingAssess and determine governance, stewardship, and frameworks for managing data across the organizationRemain conversant with emerging data technologies and strategiesWork on issues/tickets reported by business teamsDebugging, troubleshooting and finding the root causesAdminister, support and test systemsWork with Business teams on requirements, documentation, user acceptance testingWork with Software vendors for execution, documentation, creating test scripts and working with business users for user testing prior to production implementation.Support application integrations, multitasking and change managementBe in constant communication with upper management regarding system glitches and changesResponding to requests and providing effective customer service using clear communication skillsExperience in business negotiations, building partnerships and project managementExperience in team building and a problem solverMust possess planning and project implementation skillsOpen to ideas and collaborate with team membersBe flexible and adopt to the business culture while staying customer focusIdeal Candidate:Deep experience with Data Architecture, Database Design including Data Quality and Master Data Management (MDM) tools, processes and governanceExperience in defining the steps to perform a change, managing expectations, tracking status, and communicating to all constituents. Conceptual knowledge of IT infrastructure and supporting application across the companyLead analysis, architecture, design, and development of data warehouse and business intelligence solutionsWork as part of a team, to design and develop cloud data solutionsGood experience designing highly scalable ETL processes with complex data transformations, data formats including error handling and monitoring, etcExperience documenting business requirements and technical architecture/design while translating complex requirements and designs for development, testing and implementationHands-on experience in proactive monitoring of database environments (backups, recovery, capacity planning, job scheduling…), with Performance Tuning and TroubleshootingProviding support for planning and performing database migrations, upgrades and updatesExperience on AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Tableau with data architecture, design, analytics, ERP, AS400 and deployment is a Big plusStrong MS-SQL Server 2012 / 2014 experience with hands-on database design and Transact-SQL, SSIS / SSRS / SSAS development, testing, performance tuning, etc.Experience in product development and / or consulting delivery engagementsProven ability to communicate technical information to non-technical staff, both written and verballyCandidate will be required to maintain a strong working relationship with key stakeholders at all levels within the organization to understand their business modules and must be able to work with the systems analysts to understand the necessary requirements to deliver and promote technical solutions as the business evolves.Knowledgeable about technical concepts, pricnciple and apply project management methodolgies to support the business expectationsExpertise in SQL and experienced with programming languages (Python, Java, C#, Power Shell is highly desireable)Skillful at listening, prioritizing and follow ups while meeting customer expecttions.Ability to work as an effective team member and self-motivated individual contributorProven ability to deliver high quality work on time and with minimal supervisionQualifications:Desired Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.Minimum of 5 years’ experience of data architecture, business intelligence and/or consulting services, implementation, customer facing, vendor management and project managementConceptual knowledge of applications and IT infrastructureFamiliar with the concepts, principles and practices of software applications, data bases, BI, Data warehouse platformKnowledgeable and understanding of scripting and programming languagesOne or more certifications to support the desired job description is preferredAbility to travel as needed, approximately 5%Knowledge of design, build and supports data base, data analytics, application integration and meeting customer expectationsSupplemental InformationThis employer participates in E-Verify and will provide the Social Security Administration and if necessary the Department of Homeland Security with the information from each new employee’s Form I-9 to confirm work authorization.Charlie’s Produce is an Equal Opportunity Employer.As an essential employer and key contributor to our community’s food distribution chain, we will follow all state and federal guidelines on vaccination mandates, allowing for an accommodation for those that qualify.
