Together, we’re working at the pace of change on diagnostic tools that address the world’s biggest health challenges, driven by knowing that behind every test there is a patient waiting.Learn about the (Danaher Business System)(https://www.Danaher.Com/how-we-work/danaher-business-system) which makes everything possible.This position is part of Cepheid Diagnostics and will be located in Sunnyvale, CA.*In this role, you will have the opportunity to:** Coordinate and monitor workflow, assisting in scheduling and prioritizing activities in assigned logistic area.* Track and trace all freight movement.* Assist management with network distribution optimization.* Assist with the standardization of logistics operations.* Participate in/lead projects to improve service to customers and reduce/control costs.* Identify problems, recommend, and execute creative/innovative solutions.* Collaborate across various geographical sites with various departments including operations to obtain and analyze data.* Utilize Danaher Business System and other continuous improvement methodologies to drive sustainable results.* Report metrics and manage KPI’s, data analysis and reporting, and other duties as assigned.* Maintain compliance with ISO 9000, IATA, OSHA, DOT, FAA, and FDA Guidelines.*The essential requirements of the job include:** High School degree with 2-4 years of related work experience OR AA or Technical Trade degree with 1-2 years of related work experience.* Solid understanding of warehouse and transportation operations national and/or international basis.* Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate across different operating companies, departments, and cultures.* Familiarity with continuous improvement and lean operations.* Working Knowledge of ERP system, such as SAP (HANA).* Must be able to lift 25 lbs.* Must be able to stand for several hours.* Ability to work in a warehouse environment.*It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:** 4+ years of Logistics Experience (Transportation & Warehousing).* Strong understanding of supply chain management, including procurement, manufacturing, warehousing, and transportation.* Certified in Dangerous Goods requirements for DOT, IATA, IMDG.* Related experience in a diagnostic, medical device, or pharmaceutical environment.Cepheid, a Danaher company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives.
