The Cell Therapy Product Sciences department is seeking a Senior Research Associate to support the development of next-generation CAR T cell products.
Our goal is to revolutionize medicine by re-engaging the body’s immune system to treat cancer.
The Product Sciences Team is responsible for developing and executing mechanism of action and characterization studies to support the development of gene-engineered T cell therapies.
Successful candidates will have a strong foundation in human T cell biology and a proven track-record of implementation and optimization of a broad range of vitro cell-based and molecular assays using human immune and tumor cells.
The primary focus of this role will be to build CAR T cell product and process understanding and influence manufacturing and clinical decisions.
Job Description:Design and deploy in-depth characterization of gene-engineered T cells using flow cytometry, genome-wide expression analysis, metabolic profiling, and additional cutting edge analytical techniques.Participate in cross-functional teams to support the development of gene-engineered T cell therapeutic platforms.Identification and prioritization of novel analytical approaches for interrogating gene-engineered T cell function.Perform simple statistical data analysis where applicablePresentation of experimental findings/results following study completionTimely and thorough documentation and completion of electronic laboratory notebooksAuthor reports detailing experimental work and summarizing resultsFlexibility with work schedule as maintenance of cell cultures on occasional weekends, early mornings, or late evenings is required Basic Qualifications:B.S.
degree in immunology or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience or M.S.
degree in in immunology or related field with 0-2 years of relevant experienceExperience with human T cell biology and analytical tools for interrogating T cell phenotype and function.Experience with multi-parameter flow cytometry and in vitro T cell functional assays.Proven ability to work in a high paced team environment, meet deadlines, & prioritize work on multiple projects.Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and detail orientationExperience with maintaining lab notebook and both personal and communal lab workspace Preferred Qualifications:Experience with standard and next generation analytical platforms for the characterization of T cell phenotype, differentiation, and function.Experience with data visualization software and/or coding-based data analysis (R or Python)Understanding of cell signaling pathways involved in memory T cell differentiation.Experience authoring regulatory documents, including IND and BLA filings.Track record of successful internal and external scientific collaborations.
WORKING CONDITIONS (US Only):Office and laboratory environments with a mix of natural and LED lighting with low level of background noise.
Required computer and conferencing hardware are provided.
