Yours included.The Lead Research Technologist shall be responsible for:Maintaining protein expression pipeline for biochemical, structural and immunological experiments.Research laboratory engaged in multi-institutional, collaborative program on the immune response to influenza virus infection and vaccination and its implications for improved vaccine design seeks associate with demonstrated expertise in molecular biology, insect and mammalian cell culture, recombinant protein expression, protein purification, and protein characterization.Qualifications:Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree AND a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience OR Master of Science AND 3 yrs of relevant work experience.Essential is a capacity to plan and organize work independently, respond to requirements and requests from multiple collaborating research groups, communicate clearly and effectively both in person and electronically, and prioritize in consultation with the Principal Investigator and other members of the research team.The analytical skills to resolve complex problems requiring the use of scientific, mathematical, or technical principles and in‑depth, experienced‑based knowledge.The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing including assigning and distributing work, coaching, training and enforcing policies.Please note: During a public health emergency, individuals in this role may be expected to take on additional duties to respond to organizational needs.Boston Children’s Hospital offers competitive compensation and unmatched benefits, including a rotating days/evenings and week-end schedule, affordable health, vision and dental insurance, generous levels of time off, 403(b) Retirement Savings plan, Pension, Tuition Reimbursement, cell phone plan discounts and discounted rates on T-passes (50% off).Boston Children’s Hospital is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action Employer.
