AP/AR Clerk

This is a Full-time position in Shreveport, LA posted March 27, 2021.

nnAccounting Clerk responsibilities include keeping financial records updated and preparing reports.

In addition, the successful applicant will run accounting software programs (e.g.

SAP, Quickbooks) to process business transactions, like accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts.

An effective candidate should be familiar with all accounting procedures, have an in-depth understanding of business financial practices, and be attentive to details.nn nnThe successful Accounting Clerk will be imperative to ensuring the company’s daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively.nn nn Responsibilities nn Provide accounting and clerical support to the Director of Finance Type accurately; prepare and maintain accounting documents and records Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements Reconcile accounts in a timely manner Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database Provide assistance and support to Project Managers Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws Constantly update job knowledge nn Requirements nn nnThe successful applicant will demonstrate the following:nn At a minimum, an Associates degree in Accounting or similar Competency with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports Accuracy and attention to detail Aptitude for numbers Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks Data entry and word processing skills Well organized SAP experience preferred n nnAbout Advantage Resourcingnn nn Advantage Resourcing is committed to providing equal employment opportunity for all persons regardless of race, color, religion (including religious dress and grooming practices), sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, gender expression, age, marital status, national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, pregnancy, medical condition, genetic information, mental and physical disability, political affiliation, union membership, status as a parent, military or veteran status or other non-merit based factors.
